Francisc Rădulescu had in the 35thth minute some difficulties stopping Viorel Firu's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. 35 minutes into the match, Viorel Firu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Francisc Rădulescu. The Owls's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Viorel Firu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Viorel Firu charged in rather forcefully in the 47th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Viorel Firu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After the first half Alexandria Team08 were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Aurel Răducu made the kick off in the second half. Corneliu Macamete made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nicodim Tăcutu in the 55th minute of play. After 57 played minutes Alexandria Team08 got a freekick which was hit by Radu Răducan. After 57 played minutes, The Owls's Emilian Gherghescu shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Corneliu Macamete came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in The Owls reached it. A collision led to Alexandria Team08 getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Radu Răducan hit a great ball. The supporters of The Owls booed when Alexandria Team08 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Codruț Giurăscu didn't get a good kick on the ball. When The Owls's Emilian Gherghescu in the 82nd minute got a chance for a shot 82nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie.
