In the 5th minute Lucrețiu Blejan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mihăiţă Prunaru saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Gzpn Timisoara's Mihăiţă Prunaru got control of the ball when Lucian Huțupan tried to sneak it across the goal line. Toader Bacanu's late challenge caught a Gzpn Timisoara's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Toader Bacanu helped the player get up and apologised. Toader Bacanu kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Cere's zone, Toader Baltian stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Codrin Vrabie came out of the goal and Toader Baltian tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 16 played minutes Gzpn Timisoara got a freekick which was hit by Toader Baltian. Mihăiţă Prunaru made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lucrețiu Blejan in the 18th minute of play. In the 20th minute, Toader Baltian ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Codrin Vrabie was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. In the 29th minute, Lucrețiu Blejan ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Mihăiţă Prunaru was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. 33 minutes into the match, Gzpn Timisoara's goalkeeper Mihăiţă Prunaru had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lucian Huțupan. Toader Baltian recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nicolae Plopșor in the 41st minute of play forced Gzpn Timisoara's goalkeeper Mihăiţă Prunaru to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lucrețiu Blejan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mihăiţă Prunaru having to interfere. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The wind increased when Toader Baltian made the kick off in the second half. After 50 played minutes Cere got a freekick which was hit by Lucrețiu Blejan. Toader Baltian hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. After having played for 60 minutes, Toader Baltian managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gzpn Timisoara's supporters crossed their fingers, but Toader Baltian was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Petrică Zdroană hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. 64 minutes into the game, Costel Postelnicu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Codrin Vrabie was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Toader Baltian had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 71 minutes into the match, Cere's Lucrețiu Blejan sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mihăiţă Prunaru narrowly saved just below the crossbar. A collision led to Gzpn Timisoara getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Mugur Milcu hit a great ball. Nicolae Plopșor struck a weak shot in the 74th minute. Mihăiţă Prunaru didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cere. Lucrețiu Blejan took the ball and in the 76 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Mihăiţă Prunaru. Mihăiţă Prunaru dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. When Avram Panaiteanu fell near the penalty area in the 80th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cere's protests and gave Avram Panaiteanu a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Cere getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Avram Panaiteanu hit a great ball. Gzpn Timisoara's Mihăiţă Prunaru played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lucrețiu Blejan in the 86th minute of play. After 88 played minutes Gzpn Timisoara got a freekick which was hit by Mihai Buculeasa.
