Emilian Octavian's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Alexandru Butuc firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 6th minute, Manole Chiper hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, VIP's Alexandru Butuc got control of the ball when Mugurel Apostolescu tried to sneak it across the goal line. 17 minutes into the game, Aron Bebeșel was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Balavanis's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave VIP the free kick. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 16th minute of the game. One of Balavanis:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of VIP:s goal. In the 18th minute there was a penalty for VIP. Ivan Baicea stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Emanuel Goiciu. 1-1. The supporters of VIP booed when Balavanis was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Codrin Tilea didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 24th minute, Mihai Teodoreanu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Balavanis fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. In the 36th minute, Petre Țepeluș hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Balavanis's Dorel Tărâţă got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Dorel Tărâţă to strike the kick off in the second half. 55 minutes into the game, Dorel Tărâţă cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Alexandru Butuc was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Petre Țepeluș in the 60th minute of play forced VIP's goalkeeper Alexandru Butuc to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alexandru Butuc showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Petre Țepeluș in the 61st minute of the match. 63 minutes into the match, VIP's goal looked a bit too open when Mihai Teodoreanu came free, but Alexandru Butuc reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alexandru Butuc didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Irinel Vărzaru went, in the 65th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-1 was the resulting score. Dorel Tărâţă took the ball and in the 68 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Alexandru Butuc. Alexandru Butuc dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dorel Tărâţă in the 71st minute of play forced VIP's goalkeeper Alexandru Butuc to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 74 minutes, Mihai Teodoreanu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Balavanis and the VIP players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 77th minute, Petre Țepeluș hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ivan Baicea in the 80th minute of play forced Balavanis's goalkeeper Emanuel Goiciu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alexandru Butuc showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mihai Teodoreanu, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. Alexandru Butuc showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Petre Țepeluș in the 83rd minute of the match. VIP's Alexandru Butuc played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Petre Țepeluș in the 85th minute of play. 86 minutes into the match, VIP's goal looked a bit too open when Mihai Teodoreanu came free, but Alexandru Butuc reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alexandru Butuc took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mihai Teodoreanu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Balavanis's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
