Nistor Ghercioiu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Toader Dorineanu in the 11th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Codrin Petculescu in the 15th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ovidiu Comarnescu saved Fan PC Servicii from getting behind. Fan PC Servicii's Ovidiu Comarnescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vlad Zglobiu in the 17th minute of play. The FC Oltul Slatina fans' excitement grew in the 20th match minute when FC Oltul Slatina's Vlad Zglobiu looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Fan PC Servicii's Ovidiu Comarnescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vlad Zglobiu in the 26th minute of play. In the 34th minute Codrin Petculescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ovidiu Comarnescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 36 minutes into the game, Vlad Zglobiu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Ovidiu Comarnescu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. FC Oltul Slatina were furious when Eliodor Blănaru was red carded, 41 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. The supporters of Fan PC Servicii booed when FC Oltul Slatina was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eliodor Blănaru didn't get a good kick on the ball. FC Oltul Slatina's Nistor Ghercioiu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ernest Ţirpe in the 44th minute of play. After 46 played minutes FC Oltul Slatina got a freekick which was hit by Vlad Zglobiu. 47 minutes into the match, Cezar Cămărășescu sent off a long shot that looked like it was going straight into the goal, but because Nistor Ghercioiu threw himself in his full length he managed to grip the ball by the left post, and there was no goal for Cezar Cămărășescu this time. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Toader Dorineanu to make the kick off. Ovidiu Comarnescu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Vlad Zglobiu's shot from short distance in the 55th minute. FC Oltul Slatina's Narcis Minda was substituted for Augustin Arsene. FC Oltul Slatina's supporters crossed their fingers, but Iosif Melinte was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Fan PC Servicii's Emanuel Mirea got a free kick in the 73rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vlad Zglobiu in the 76th minute of play forced Fan PC Servicii's goalkeeper Ovidiu Comarnescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The FC Oltul Slatina fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. When the match clock showed 92 minutes, the score became 0-4 when Narcis Minda sped through Fan PC Servicii's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Ovidiu Comarnescu. Cristi Bordeanu took the ball and in the 96 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Nistor Ghercioiu. Nistor Ghercioiu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-4. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. FC Oltul Slatina had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
