The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Cristi Hagi blasted a shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ovidiu Comarnescu having to make a save. Costică Stoleru scored 1-0 in the 14th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ovidiu Comarnescu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Horea Neculuță kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. After 21 played minutes Fan PC Servicii got a freekick which was hit by Cătălin Neagoe. The supporters of Fan PC Servicii booed when -BZF- Valea Buzăului was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cosmin Galiceanu didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 26th match minute, -BZF- Valea Buzăului was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cosmin Galiceanu to maneuver through the defense. In the 28th minute, Paul Baran hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Costică Stoleru sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Horea Neculuță hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. Fan PC Servicii's Ovidiu Comarnescu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 41st minute of the match, managed to save Fan PC Servicii from getting a goal against them. Aristide Nichita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 44th minute of the match, but Ovidiu Comarnescu made a huge save.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Toader Dorineanu was the one to do the kick off. 52 minutes into the game, Horea Neculuță cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Ovidiu Comarnescu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 55th minute, Aristide Nichita made a precise shot to the right of Ovidiu Comarnescu. Fan PC Servicii's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. 61 minutes into the match, Aristide Nichita had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ovidiu Comarnescu. Fan PC Servicii's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Aristide Nichita was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. Ovidiu Comarnescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Costică Stoleru in the 65th minute of play. When Manuel Nișu fell near the penalty area in the 66th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Fan PC Servicii's protests and gave Manuel Nișu a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Fan PC Servicii's Manuel Nișu got a free kick in the 66th minute. In the 68th minute, Cosmin Galiceanu made a precise shot to the right of Ovidiu Comarnescu. Fan PC Servicii's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-0. After a defensive mix-up in -BZF- Valea Buzăului's zone, Tudor Necșulescu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Manole Tăcutu came out of the goal and Tudor Necșulescu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 73 minutes into the game, -BZF- Valea Buzăului's Aristide Nichita nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ovidiu Comarnescu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 6-0. In the 77th minute Cosmin Galiceanu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ovidiu Comarnescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Costică Stoleru scored 7-0 in the 79th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ovidiu Comarnescu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aristide Nichita in the 82nd minute of play forced Fan PC Servicii's goalkeeper Ovidiu Comarnescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ovidiu Comarnescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aristide Nichita, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. After having played for 87 minutes, Costică Stoleru managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. -BZF- Valea Buzăului's supporters crossed their fingers, but Costică Stoleru was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. -BZF- Valea Buzăului's Costică Stoleru got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Fan PC Servicii's Ovidiu Comarnescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aristide Nichita in the 90th minute of play. Ovidiu Comarnescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cosmin Galiceanu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Costică Stoleru managed to get in a good position for a shot. -BZF- Valea Buzăului's supporters rose to their feet, but Costică Stoleru was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ovidiu Comarnescu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. -BZF- Valea Buzăului walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
