The referee felt a red card was in order, 5 minutes into the game, when Leonard Chitila put in a rough tackle. After 5 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for FC Oltul Slatina! The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dorel Panin during the 10th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Dorel Panin hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. In the 11th minute of the match Doru Jilăveanu shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Nistor Ghercioiu showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 13th match minute, FC Oltul Slatina was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Andrei Nițu to maneuver through the defense. In the 14th minute Cristian Ozon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nistor Ghercioiu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 15th minute Traian Tiţe shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nistor Ghercioiu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 32 played minutes FC Oltul Slatina got a freekick which was hit by Eliodor Blănaru. In the 41st minute Traian Tiţe shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nistor Ghercioiu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. FC Oltul Slatina's Nistor Ghercioiu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Ozon in the 47th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dorel Panin was the one to do the kick off. In the 55th minute of the match Kobra TEAM got a corner. FC Oltul Slatina's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Petru Hristea ran over to the corner to take the kick. Nistor Ghercioiu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cristian Ozon's shot from short distance in the 62nd minute. 64 minutes into the match, FC Oltul Slatina's goalkeeper Nistor Ghercioiu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cristian Ozon. In the 66th minute, Iosif Melinte hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match had gone on for 69 minutes, Cristian Ozon put it in 0-4 from a short distance just to the right of Nistor Ghercioiu. Petru Hristea struck a weak shot in the 73rd minute. Nistor Ghercioiu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kobra TEAM. Nistor Ghercioiu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Petru Hristea, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. FC Oltul Slatina's Nistor Ghercioiu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 77th minute of the match, managed to save FC Oltul Slatina from getting a goal against them. Traian Tiţe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Andrei Nițu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Manuel Mitescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The FC Oltul Slatina fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Kobra TEAM were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
