If Valeriu Goma had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sebastian Pană in the 12th minute of play forced AC MiLaN's goalkeeper Ilie Florescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sebastian Pană blasted a shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ilie Florescu having to make a save. After 35 played minutes AC MiLaN got a freekick which was hit by Iulian Surugiu. Sebastian Pană kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. Valeriu Goma blasted a shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ilie Florescu having to make a save. In the 43rd minute Iacob Pârlea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ilie Florescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Valeriu Goma made the kick off in the second half. Ilie Florescu had great luck who in the 53rdth minute grab hold of the ball when Valeriu Goma from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. Gelu Galușcă made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Grigore Banu in the 59th minute of play. A collision led to AC MiLaN getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Iulian Surugiu hit a great ball. 65 minutes into the match, AC MiLaN's goalkeeper Ilie Florescu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sebastian Pană. After a rather tough play, DINAMO PLOIESTI's Iacob Pârlea got a free kick in the 70th minute. Ilie Florescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Valeriu Goma in the 75th minute of play. When Ioan Voinescu came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the AC MiLaN fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ioan Voinescu couldn't finish the play. AC MiLaN's Ilie Florescu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 82nd minute of the match, managed to save AC MiLaN from getting a goal against them. The crowd rose to their feet as Valeriu Goma kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Ilie Florescu. That made the score 0-1 in the 86 minute of play. In the 90th minute of the match Gică Vulcan shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ilie Florescu showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Narcis Manolescu in the 94th minute of play forced AC MiLaN's goalkeeper Ilie Florescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
