CF REALCipri's Eugen Brânzaru was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Bogdan Ionițoiu in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. A collision led to CF REALCipri getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Șerban Alexandru hit a great ball. In the 7th minute of the match Basarab Bala shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Niculae Povară showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Bogdan Ionițoiu made a fantastic save in the 10th minute, when Eugen Brânzaru sent off a good shot on target. Aurelian Boian charged in rather forcefully in the 12th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Aurelian Boian the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 12th minute, Aurelian Boian hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Vintilă Giubelean fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bogdan Ionițoiu having to interfere. After 15 played minutes UFC Veseud got a freekick which was hit by Aurelian Boian. Niculae Povară showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eusebiu Gliga, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. 20 minutes into the match, Eusebiu Gliga notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of CF REALCipri's Niculae Povară. Niculae Povară was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 24th minute, Vasile Raicu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The UFC Veseud fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. CF REALCipri were furious when Sorin Budac was red carded, 29 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 29th minute of the game. One of CF REALCipri:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of UFC Veseud:s goal. After having played for 41 minutes, Eusebiu Gliga managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. UFC Veseud's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eusebiu Gliga was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Niculae Rednic managed to get in a good position for a shot. UFC Veseud's supporters rose to their feet, but Niculae Rednic was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Niculae Povară breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Eusebiu Gliga in the 45th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Niculae Povară saved CF REALCipri from getting behind. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

Eusebiu Gliga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Niculae Povară tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 57th match minute, CF REALCipri was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vintilă Giubelean to maneuver through the defense. Niculae Povară showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eusebiu Gliga in the 58th minute of the match. Iustin Liciu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Niculae Povară tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 62nd minute the ball was on its way in behind CF REALCipri's goalkeeper Niculae Povară, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Bogdan Ionițoiu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Horea Barascu, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. Bogdan Ionițoiu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Horea Barascu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 73 played minutes UFC Veseud got a freekick which was hit by Cosmin Pumnu. Niculae Rednic sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bogdan Ionițoiu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Horea Barascu in the 85th minute of play. 94 minutes into the game, Vasile Raicu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. UFC Veseud's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave CF REALCipri the free kick. The CF REALCipri supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching UFC Veseud's performance. The match ended with a win for UFC Veseud.
