The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Costică Mangra sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. UFC STEAUA's Ernest Obreja proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 11th minute of the match, managed to save UFC STEAUA from getting a goal against them. Narcis Cozorici showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Costică Mangra in the 17th minute of the match. In the 26th minute Costică Mangra shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Narcis Cozorici saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. White&Blue Lions-Stiinta-'s Narcis Cozorici played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Costică Mangra in the 28th minute of play. After 30 played minutes White&Blue Lions-Stiinta- got a freekick which was hit by Mihnea Elefteriu. In the 33rd match minute, UFC STEAUA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eliodor Bărăian to maneuver through the defense. UFC STEAUA's Ernest Obreja proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 34th minute of the match, managed to save UFC STEAUA from getting a goal against them. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Eugen Butuc made a kick off. If Costin Șipoș had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, UFC STEAUA's Corneliu Hurezeanu got a free kick in the 55th minute. Eugen Butuc charged in rather forcefully in the 56th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Eugen Butuc the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Eugen Butuc hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. 58 minutes into the match, UFC STEAUA's goal looked a bit too open when Eugen Butuc came free, but Ernest Obreja reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 59th minute White&Blue Lions-Stiinta- were awarded a corner. Ivan Mereuță went to the cornerflag to take it. In the 67th match minute, White&Blue Lions-Stiinta- was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vlad Zâncă to maneuver through the defense. In the 95th minute, Mihnea Elefteriu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. UFC STEAUA walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
