Lieven De Vleeschauwere made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Lieven De Vleeschauwere made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Laurenz Kerselaers in the 20th minute of play. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 43 minutes into the game, Pieter-Jan Roelandts cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Lieven De Vleeschauwere was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Laurenz Kerselaers fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lieven De Vleeschauwere having to interfere. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

The wind increased when Pieter-Jan Roelandts made the kick off in the second half. Lieven De Vleeschauwere was a little too slow when Laurenz Kerselaers got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 54th minute. The score was now 0-4. In the 59th minute, Charles Cheepers left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The KV Schoonwater fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-5. In the 63rd minute Jean-Louis Baert shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nicky Rauvoets saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 68th minute, Laurenz Kerselaers left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The KV Schoonwater fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-7. In the 72nd minute of the match Alfred Libreghts shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Nicky Rauvoets showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Jeffrey Artois hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 75th minute of the game. One of fc eendenpad:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of KV Schoonwater:s goal. Jeremie Verhengen was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 82 minutes into the match. Jacq Ceusters sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Gaetan Vanden Bossche might have been able to make a better finish in the 87th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Lieven De Vleeschauwere. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gaetan Vanden Bossche ran back to his position shaking his head. KV Schoonwater made a substitution. Matthias Persoons replaced Charles Cheepers. 92 minutes into the game, fc eendenpad's Sam-Lucas Van Clynenbreugel nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Nicky Rauvoets made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-8. After having played for 98 minutes, Laurenz Kerselaers managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. KV Schoonwater's supporters crossed their fingers, but Laurenz Kerselaers was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the final whistle sounded KV Schoonwater left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than fc eendenpad.
