Frank Costermans received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Waut Goons came out and tried to block the shot, but Frank Costermans slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 4th minute. 7 minutes into the game, Michael Armentier threw the ball into play from the sideline. SK Gullegem's Quillian de Wolf quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. A collision led to SK Gullegem getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Christopher Frans hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Frank Costermans in the 19th minute of play forced Sporting Mambo's goalkeeper Waut Goons to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Christopher Frans got free with Waut Goons in the 21st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to SK Gullegem getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Gilbert Sielis hit a great ball. Sporting Mambo's Waut Goons played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bert Rouvroys in the 24th minute of play. Waut Goons made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Frank Costermans in the 25th minute of play. Matthieu Vincke charged in rather forcefully in the 26th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Matthieu Vincke the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Sporting Mambo getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Jo van der Eycken took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Stanny Van Boekost, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Waut Goons made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Frank Costermans in the 29th minute of play. In the 32nd match minute, SK Gullegem was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Christopher Frans to maneuver through the defense. Waut Goons was a little too slow when Sylvain Pauwels got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 38th minute. The score was now 3-0. After 45 played minutes SK Gullegem got a freekick which was hit by Soren Kindts. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Stanny Van Boekost made a kick off. Waut Goons showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Christopher Frans, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. Waut Goons took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sylvain Pauwels, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 55th minute Frank Costermans shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Waut Goons saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Frank Costermans in the 58th minute of play forced Sporting Mambo's goalkeeper Waut Goons to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 59 minutes of play, SK Gullegem's Sylvain Pauwels made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Waut Goons was left in no man's land by his defense there! When the match had gone on for 64 minutes, Stanny Van Boekost put it in 4-1 from a short distance just to the right of Jo van der Eycken. Etienne Ottevaere charged in rather forcefully in the 67th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Jo van der Eycken tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Waut Goons showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sylvain Pauwels, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. After having played for 77 minutes, Michael Armentier managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sporting Mambo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Michael Armentier was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Sporting Mambo getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Glen de Pelsmaecker hit a great ball. Matthieu Vincke was shown his second yellow card after 81 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After 81 played minutes Sporting Mambo got a freekick which was hit by Matthieu Vincke. 88 minutes into the match, Frank Costermans had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Waut Goons. Sporting Mambo's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Frank Costermans was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-1. Sporting Mambo's Waut Goons played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Christopher Frans in the 91st minute of play. In the 93rd minute, Frank Costermans made a precise shot to the right of Waut Goons. Sporting Mambo's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 6-1.
