Jorg Saelens could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 85th minute of the match, but Jeroen Himschoot made a huge save. When Pierre Van Leemputte fell near the penalty area in the 93rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Portus Ganda's protests and gave Pierre Van Leemputte a yellow card for diving instead. After 93 played minutes Portus Ganda got a freekick which was hit by Pierre Van Leemputte. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jorg Saelens in the 96th minute of play forced Portus Ganda's goalkeeper Jeroen Himschoot to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Twierdza Osowiec walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
