An unexpectedly hard shot by Sam Stuijckens in the 11th minute of play forced FC Gullegem's goalkeeper Joos Sloeve to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 12 minutes, Richy Swartenbroekx mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Gullegem and the De krokante kroketjes players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 12 played minutes FC Gullegem got a freekick which was hit by Richy Swartenbroekx. In the 15th match minute, FC Gullegem was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Richy Swartenbroekx to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sam Stuijckens in the 18th minute of play forced FC Gullegem's goalkeeper Joos Sloeve to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 23rd minute, Gertjan Waterloos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 25 minutes into the game, Bas Van Hespen cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Joos Sloeve was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Gertjan Waterloos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Michiel Schrijns in the 36th minute of play forced FC Gullegem's goalkeeper Joos Sloeve to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 37th minute, Carel Verdonckt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to FC Gullegem getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Geoffrey Weggers hit a great ball. In the 41st minute of the match Matthy Anteunis shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Joos Sloeve showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 43 minutes into the match, FC Gullegem's goal looked a bit too open when Sam Stuijckens came free, but Joos Sloeve reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 46 minutes of play, De krokante kroketjes's Sam Stuijckens made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Joos Sloeve was left in no man's land by his defense there! Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Michiel Schrijns made the kick off in the second half. In the 58th minute, Bas Van Hespen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a little luck, FC Gullegem's Joos Sloeve got control of the ball when Michiel Schrijns tried to sneak it across the goal line. Bas Van Hespen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Joos Sloeve tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 73 minutes, Tran de Neutere mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the De krokante kroketjes and the FC Gullegem players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to De krokante kroketjes getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Tran de Neutere hit a great ball. In the 75th minute Gertjan Waterloos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Charlie Melkval saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice moves Michiel Schrijns could shoot a difficult shot in the 80th minute, which Joos Sloeve however easily saved by the left post. In the 81st match minute, De krokante kroketjes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sam Stuijckens to maneuver through the defense. Joos Sloeve took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ief Van Beylen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. FC Gullegem's Joos Sloeve proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 92nd minute of the match, managed to save FC Gullegem from getting a goal against them. Sam Stuijckens sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Michiel Schrijns could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 96th minute of the match, but Joos Sloeve made a huge save.
