Seating: 39, VIP seats: 3) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Paul-Louis Villyn made the kick off which started today's match. FC Gullegem's Pierre Hacke got a good chance for a goal in the 5th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Christian Peeters's late challenge caught a FC Gullegem's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Christian Peeters helped the player get up and apologised. In the 6th minute, Christian Peeters hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paul-Louis Villyn in the 10th minute of play forced FC Gullegem's goalkeeper Ive De Meyer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 12th minute Willem-Alexander Snieders shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ive De Meyer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 13 minutes of play Minion Mim's Christian Peeters was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. A collision led to Minion Mim getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Christian Peeters hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, FC Gullegem's Gertjan Waterloos got a free kick in the 17th minute. When Goffrey Demarez came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the FC Gullegem fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Goffrey Demarez couldn't finish the play. Michel Reijckmans hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. An unexpected shot in the 26th minute by Gertjan Waterloos got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Pierre Hacke helped the player get up and apologised. In the 28th match minute, FC Gullegem was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pierre Hacke to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the Minion Mim defense, Gertjan Waterloos kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Fabrice De Leger. The Minion Mim fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fabrice De Leger should have stopped the shot. 35 minutes into the match, Willem-Alexander Snieders had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ive De Meyer. FC Gullegem's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Willem-Alexander Snieders was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Willem-Alexander Snieders sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 42 minutes into the match, Willem-Alexander Snieders had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ive De Meyer. FC Gullegem's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Willem-Alexander Snieders was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Kenneth Blanchaert received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Ive De Meyer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Pierre Hacke stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Pierre Hacke might have been able to make a better finish in the 55th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Fabrice De Leger. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Pierre Hacke ran back to his position shaking his head. After having played for 58 minutes, Matijs De Weerdt managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Minion Mim's supporters crossed their fingers, but Matijs De Weerdt was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 61 minutes into the match, Minion Mim's goal looked a bit too open when Gertjan Waterloos came free, but Fabrice De Leger reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 64 minutes into the game, Matijs De Weerdt recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Ive De Meyer. Matijs De Weerdt showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-3. If Matijs De Weerdt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 68th minute, Izak Schoolmeesters hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Minion Mim's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Cederik Sellekaerts in the 71st minute. A nice corner shot did that Willem-Alexander Snieders got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Ive De Meyer quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 73rd minute of the match, Matijs De Weerdt tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Ive De Meyer saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Fabrice De Leger showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pierre Hacke, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. Ive De Meyer was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Willem-Alexander Snieders showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-4 in the 82 minute of play. FC Gullegem's Ive De Meyer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Matijs De Weerdt in the 86th minute of play. After having played for 91 minutes, Kenneth Blanchaert managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Minion Mim's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kenneth Blanchaert was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a little luck, FC Gullegem's Ive De Meyer got control of the ball when Willem-Alexander Snieders tried to sneak it across the goal line. Minion Mim played a much better game than FC Gullegem and deserved their victory. The FC Gullegem players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
