An unexpectedly hard shot by Rene Van Hoyveldt in the 5th minute of play forced KFC Cromvelde's goalkeeper Gilliam Van Langhendonck to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 13th minute, Charlie Temmerman managed to get in a good position for a shot. Moerhuize's supporters rose to their feet, but Charlie Temmerman was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gilliam Van Langhendonck breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Will De Munck received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Frits Van Beylen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Karel Dekker fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gilliam Van Langhendonck having to interfere. The referee felt a red card was in order, 30 minutes into the game, when Senne De Kock put in a rough tackle. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jimmy Van Den Haecke in the 32nd minute of play forced KFC Cromvelde's goalkeeper Gilliam Van Langhendonck to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Boris Rokeloos in the 35th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Frits Van Beylen prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When KFC Cromvelde's Boris Rokeloos in the 36th minute got a chance for a shot 36th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Moerhuize's goalie prevented a goal. Frits Van Beylen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Boris Rokeloos in the 40th minute of the match. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rene Van Hoyveldt stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute Rik Colebrants shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Frits Van Beylen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Moerhuize's Frits Van Beylen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Boris Rokeloos in the 55th minute of play. A collision led to Moerhuize getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Jean-Louis Suetens hit a great ball. In the 63rd match minute, KFC Cromvelde was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Will De Munck to maneuver through the defense. Frits Van Beylen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Boris Rokeloos in the 70th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Moerhuize's Tommas Sannen got a free kick in the 74th minute. In the 75th minute Boris Rokeloos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Frits Van Beylen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Boris Rokeloos blasted a shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Frits Van Beylen having to make a save. The Moerhuize players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented KFC Cromvelde from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
