Jeremy De Mees hit a great ball. 5 minutes into the match, FC Gullegem's goalkeeper Ive De Meyer had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Axel Van de Plas. Ive De Meyer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rene Terreur in the 6th minute of play. In the 7th minute, Rene Terreur hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. FC Gullegem's Pierre Hacke got a good chance for a goal in the 11th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ive De Meyer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Axel Van de Plas, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. After 24 minutes, Axel Van de Plas mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Brakkies New Bastards and the FC Gullegem players grew even worse after the yellow card. Axel Van de Plas kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. When FC Gullegem's Pierre Hacke in the 27th minute got a chance for a shot 27th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Brakkies New Bastards's goalie prevented a goal. After a rather tough play, Brakkies New Bastards's Rene Terreur got a free kick in the 32nd minute. Nicolas van Hollebecke stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Pierre Hacke's shot from short distance in the 34th minute. In the 34thth minute of the game Pierre Hacke who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Brakkies New Bastards's Nicolas van Hollebecke was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Lou Mampaerts fell near the penalty area in the 38th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Gullegem's protests and gave Lou Mampaerts a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Brakkies New Bastards booed when FC Gullegem was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lou Mampaerts didn't get a good kick on the ball. 39 minutes into the match, FC Gullegem's goal looked a bit too open when Jacob Vinck came free, but Ive De Meyer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. FC Gullegem's Ive De Meyer proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 44th minute of the match, managed to save FC Gullegem from getting a goal against them. Jacob Vinck could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 47th minute of the match, but Ive De Meyer made a huge save. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jacob Vinck was the one to do the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Brakkies New Bastards's zone, Gertjan Waterloos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nicolas van Hollebecke came out of the goal and Gertjan Waterloos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Brakkies New Bastards's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Pierre Hacke 53 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-1. Kim Verhengen charged in rather forcefully in the 56th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Kim Verhengen the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 56th minute, Kim Verhengen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 57th minute of the match Jamie Tael sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ive De Meyer skillfully saved the ball. In the 60th minute, Jacob Vinck ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ive De Meyer was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. Ive De Meyer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jacob Vinck, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. During the 70th minute of the match Axel Van de Plas completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Axel Van de Plas a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After 81st play minutes Pierre Hacke shot 2-2, a short shot which went by Nicolas van Hollebecke and just under the crossbar into goal.
