The corner ended in Florian Dejonghe almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Sleepy Soldiers FC's Brent-Jan Van Lancker did a great save. In the 18th minute, Frederic Feys got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Andre Uijterhoven was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 20 minutes into the match. A collision led to Vriendenkring Wippelgem getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Andre Uijterhoven hit a great ball. In the 27th match minute, Sleepy Soldiers FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stijn Caers to maneuver through the defense. Sebastien Sterks charged in rather forcefully in the 71st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Sebastien Sterks the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 74th match minute, Sleepy Soldiers FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Terry Delen to maneuver through the defense. Stijn Caers hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. 83 minutes into the match, Sleepy Soldiers FC's goal looked a bit too open when Florian Dejonghe came free, but Brent-Jan Van Lancker reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Sebastien Sterks had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gertjan Imberechts made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dimitri Van Landewijck in the 87th minute of play. The supporters of Sleepy Soldiers FC booed when Vriendenkring Wippelgem was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Florian Dejonghe didn't get a good kick on the ball. Frederic Feys fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Brent-Jan Van Lancker having to interfere. The Vriendenkring Wippelgem fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Sleepy Soldiers FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
