With 10 minutes on the clock, Stijn Caers commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In the 9th minute, one of Sleepy Soldiers FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Sleepy Soldiers FC. Marten de Nijs sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 20 played minutes Sleepy Soldiers FC got a freekick which was hit by Adolphe Roggen. 21 minutes into the match, Sleepy Soldiers FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jorne Verhofstadt came free, but Brent-Jan Van Lancker reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Abel Van Meerbek sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Artur Vos during the 30th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 30th match minute, Sleepy Soldiers FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Artur Vos to maneuver through the defense. Brent-Jan Van Lancker came out of the goal in the 36th minute to try and stop a shot by KFC Paal-Tervant's Abel Van Meerbek. But to his dismay, Abel Van Meerbek quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. Brent-Jan Van Lancker made a fantastic save in the 41st minute, when Manu Gyselinx sent off a good shot on target. Patrik Kint lost his temper 44 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 43rd minute of the game. One of KFC Paal-Tervant:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Sleepy Soldiers FC:s goal.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Pieter Van den Hoff to strike the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the game, Christian Mangelschot cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-1. Brent-Jan Van Lancker was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Pieter Van den Hoff had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 72 minutes, Adolphe Roggen mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sleepy Soldiers FC and the KFC Paal-Tervant players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Sleepy Soldiers FC getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Adolphe Roggen hit a great ball. 73 minutes into the match, Sleepy Soldiers FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jorne Verhofstadt came free, but Brent-Jan Van Lancker reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When William Vanden Driessche came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the KFC Paal-Tervant fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that William Vanden Driessche couldn't finish the play. Louis-Philippe Van Gorpt stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Kenneth Bautmans's shot from short distance in the 88th minute. Terry Delen charged in rather forcefully in the 90th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Terry Delen the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 90th match minute, Sleepy Soldiers FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Terry Delen to maneuver through the defense. Brent-Jan Van Lancker showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abel Van Meerbek, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. Brent-Jan Van Lancker took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from William Vanden Driessche, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The KFC Paal-Tervant fans cheered their team off the field, for while Sleepy Soldiers FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
