An unexpectedly hard shot by Jo Vogels in the 40th minute of play forced Royal Antwerp FC's goalkeeper Franck vrolijx to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jo Vogels to make the kick off. F.C. Kilisspor's Gery De Martelaere played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joannes Grootjans in the 52nd minute of play. Kilisspor's Gery De Martelaere. Gery De Martelaere was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 79th minute, F.C. Kilisspor's Jo Vogels ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Franck vrolijx. Franck vrolijx yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-2. In the 86th match minute, F.C. Kilisspor was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vicente Gooris to maneuver through the defense. In the 87th minute Bernard Cremers shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gery De Martelaere saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
