In the 6th minute, Pierre-Alexandre Van Beets hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With splendid footwork Fre Van Acker arrived in front of goal to shoot 1-0 by the left pole in the game's 10th minute. Haithabu FC's Nic Cox played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Robben Vrijdags in the 16th minute of play. With a little luck, FC Bredene's Giovanny Sulems got control of the ball when Jules De Groote tried to sneak it across the goal line. Robben Vrijdags sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Robben Vrijdags had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. FC Bredene's Giovanny Sulems played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jules De Groote in the 29th minute of play. Haithabu FC's Fre Van Acker got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a little luck, FC Bredene's Giovanny Sulems got control of the ball when Brecht La Rose tried to sneak it across the goal line. Pieterjan Van Eijken hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. 35 minutes into the match, FC Bredene's goal looked a bit too open when Jules De Groote came free, but Giovanny Sulems reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 37th minute of the match, Brecht La Rose tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Giovanny Sulems saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After some careless play in the FC Bredene defense, Jules De Groote kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Giovanny Sulems. The FC Bredene fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Giovanny Sulems should have stopped the shot. Giovanny Sulems stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gregoire Raeimakers's shot from short distance in the 43rd minute. FC Bredene's Andreas Van Hoyveldt got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Brecht La Rose came free with the goalkeeper in the 48th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Giovanny Sulems could save by the left post. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Andreas Van Hoyveldt to make the kick off. Fre Van Acker sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Giovanny Sulems made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Brecht La Rose in the 64th minute of play. Tran Vranken kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. Fre Van Acker struck a weak shot in the 70th minute. Giovanny Sulems didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Haithabu FC. In the 72nd minute Jules De Groote shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Giovanny Sulems saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 72 played minutes FC Bredene got a freekick which was hit by Tran Vranken. Kevin De Wyngaert took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 73rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Giovanny Sulems. FC Bredene's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 74 minutes into the match, FC Bredene's goal looked a bit too open when Brecht La Rose came free, but Giovanny Sulems reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Giovanny Sulems showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Brecht La Rose, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. Andreas Van Hoyveldt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nic Cox having to interfere. Giovanny Sulems showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jules De Groote, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. When Fre Van Acker came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the Haithabu FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fre Van Acker couldn't finish the play. Giovanny Sulems took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Brecht La Rose, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The attack was good, but when Gregoire Raeimakers in the 87th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Fre Van Acker scored 3-0 in the 92nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Giovanny Sulems, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 97 minutes into the game, Jules De Groote was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Haithabu FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Bredene the free kick. The supporters of FC Bredene booed when Haithabu FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 97 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jules De Groote didn't get a good kick on the ball.
