The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Mathias-Alexander De Block took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Matias Calstermans, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Matias Calstermans hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. Constantijn Elsen in the 11thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Mathias-Alexander De Block, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After a rather tough play, Bruly's Luc Van Linthaut got a free kick in the 12th minute. Mathias-Alexander De Block made an important save on a dangerous shot by Constantijn Elsen in the 13th minute. A collision led to Bruly getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Luc Van Linthaut hit a great ball. Mathias-Alexander De Block made a fantastic save in the 17th minute, when Constantijn Elsen sent off a good shot on target. After 19 played minutes Bruly got a freekick which was hit by Diederiek Van de Loock. A hard shot 21 in the game by Constantijn Elsen from a close distance when the talented Mathias-Alexander De Block managed to make a qualified save. Bruly's players were relieved. In the 25th minute, Dimitri Van Den Broek hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Matias Calstermans had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 28 minutes of play, Lions United's Dimitri Van Den Broek made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Mathias-Alexander De Block was left in no man's land by his defense there! Mathias-Alexander De Block showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Constantijn Elsen, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. Guy Cox who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 32ndth minute tested the skills of Mathias-Alexander De Block when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Constantijn Elsen could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 34th minute of the match, but Mathias-Alexander De Block made a huge save. In the 36th minute, Lions United's Matias Calstermans dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-0. In the 45th minute, Fernand Spailer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

In the 71st minute Constantijn Elsen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mathias-Alexander De Block saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mathias-Alexander De Block prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Mathias-Alexander De Block didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Constantijn Elsen went, in the 77th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-0 was the resulting score. In the 85th minute Constantijn Elsen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mathias-Alexander De Block saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mathias-Alexander De Block made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Constantijn Elsen in the 95th minute of play. Mathias-Alexander De Block showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Constantijn Elsen in the 96th minute of the match. When the referee ended the match the Lions United players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
