The audience thought a goal was coming when Jo Vogels got free with Nic Cox in the 14th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the match had gone on for 16 minutes, Jo Vogels took a quick shot and it went in 1-2 without a chance for Nic Cox to make any attempt to save it. Gery De Martelaere made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fre Van Acker in the 19th minute of play. 21 minutes into the match, F.C. Kilisspor's goal looked a bit too open when Brecht La Rose came free, but Gery De Martelaere reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gery De Martelaere took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fre Van Acker, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gery De Martelaere showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jules De Groote, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jules De Groote in the 33rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gery De Martelaere saved F.C. Kilisspor from getting behind. Gery De Martelaere showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Brecht La Rose, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. In the 39th match minute, Haithabu FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Brecht La Rose to maneuver through the defense. 43 minutes into the game, Haithabu FC's Brecht La Rose nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gery De Martelaere made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-4. Disappointed in the 1-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Brecht La Rose stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The audience was convinced that Gregoire Raeimakers's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gery De Martelaere was relentless in the 52nd minute of the game. Kilisspor's Gery De Martelaere got control of the ball when Gregoire Raeimakers tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fre Van Acker in the 86th minute of play forced F.C. Kilisspor's goalkeeper Gery De Martelaere to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jo Vogels hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. If Brecht La Rose had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 95th minute, Jules De Groote made a precise shot to the right of Gery De Martelaere. F.C. Kilisspor's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-6. Haithabu FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
