The audience thought a goal was coming when 温铮松 got free with 龚旭常 in the 24th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The crowd rose to their feet as 拜耳04勒沃库森's 高然斌 slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of 龚旭常. That made the score 2-2 after 26 minutes of play. In the 36th minute the ball was on its way in behind 拜耳04勒沃库森's goalkeeper 何轩镇, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.
