Evert Kilman kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. 14 minutes into the match, Monia&Ibrahim's goal looked a bit too open when Fred Dalgren came free, but Lennart Samuelsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Monia&Ibrahim's zone, Fred Dalgren stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lennart Samuelsson came out of the goal and Fred Dalgren tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arne Hellström in the 35th minute of play forced Monia&Ibrahim's goalkeeper Lennart Samuelsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 36 minutes into the match, Hartlepool's goalkeeper Birger Hedman had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Harry Vallman. Hartlepool's defense didn't have a chance, in the 37th minute, when Evert Kilman scored to the left of an out of position Birger Hedman, making the score, 1-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Harry Vallman got free with Birger Hedman in the 44th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of Monia&Ibrahim booed when Hartlepool was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vilhelm Albom didn't get a good kick on the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Sebastian Asserlind to strike the kick off in the second half. If Sebastian Asserlind had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Harry Vallman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lennart Samuelsson made a fantastic save in the 58th minute, when Sebastian Asserlind sent off a good shot on target. Elias Alén kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. If Arne Hellström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 65 minutes into the game, Hartlepool's Sebastian Asserlind nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Lennart Samuelsson made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Sebastian Asserlind might have been able to make a better finish in the 70th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Lennart Samuelsson. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Sebastian Asserlind ran back to his position shaking his head. Hartlepool's Birger Hedman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alexander Nyberg in the 72nd minute of play. The supporters of Hartlepool booed when Monia&Ibrahim was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lucas Danielsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. After recieving a nice pass, Hartlepool's Fred Dalgren tried to score from far away in the 85th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Monia&Ibrahim's Lennart Samuelsson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 91st minute of the match, managed to save Monia&Ibrahim from getting a goal against them. When the match was over Hartlepool could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Monia&Ibrahim throughout the match.
