The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 4 minutes into the match, Fred Dalgren notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Monia&Ibrahim's Ove Simonsson. Ove Simonsson was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Ove Simonsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rikard Hake in the 12th minute of the match. Birger Hedman didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Karl-Erik Sundberg went, in the 13th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Monia&Ibrahim's defense didn't have a chance, in the 17th minute, when Fred Dalgren scored to the left of an out of position Ove Simonsson, making the score, 2-1. Monia&Ibrahim's Ove Simonsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ingvar Sundström in the 21st minute of play. With a little luck, Monia&Ibrahim's Ove Simonsson got control of the ball when Ingvar Sundström tried to sneak it across the goal line. Monia&Ibrahim's Patrick Svensson got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Monia&Ibrahim's zone, Fred Dalgren stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ove Simonsson came out of the goal and Fred Dalgren tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Hartlepool booed when Monia&Ibrahim was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Johannes Åkerström didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ove Simonsson acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 44th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Fred Dalgren. Karl-Erik Sundberg kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Karl-Erik Sundberg made a kick off. Stig Dalberg hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. Monia&Ibrahim's Ove Simonsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ingvar Sundström in the 57th minute of play. In the 58th minute, Fred Dalgren got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Harald Malmström kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. Johannes Åkerström, 60 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. After 65 played minutes Monia&Ibrahim got a freekick which was hit by Thomas Karlsson. Ove Simonsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arne Hellström, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 70th minute, Ingvar Sundström ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ove Simonsson was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. Monia&Ibrahim's Karl-Erik Sundberg got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Hartlepool getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Emil Rosén hit a great ball. In the 86th match minute, Monia&Ibrahim was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Thomas Karlsson to maneuver through the defense.
