The supporters of Hagfors booed when Galapagos Islands FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sven-Erik Örnberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. Karl-Magnus Fristedt's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jan-Åke Johnsson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 8th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 11th minute, Torbjörn Stålberg managed to get in a good position for a shot. Galapagos Islands FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Torbjörn Stålberg was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jan-Åke Johnsson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Holger Modig sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Galapagos Islands FC getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Torsten Åman hit a great ball. If Holger Modig had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 24 minutes into the match, Galapagos Islands FC's goalkeeper Arne Petersson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Holger Modig. After some careless play in the Hagfors defense, Torbjörn Stålberg kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jan-Åke Johnsson. The Hagfors fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jan-Åke Johnsson should have stopped the shot. After 38 played minutes Hagfors got a freekick which was hit by Kent Kruse. After 39 played minutes, Galapagos Islands FC's Karl-Magnus Fristedt shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Jan-Åke Johnsson came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Galapagos Islands FC reached it. After a rather tough play, Hagfors's Kent Kruse got a free kick in the 41st minute. Karl-Magnus Fristedt struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Jan-Åke Johnsson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Galapagos Islands FC. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

Arne Petersson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Victor Trillkott, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 66 minutes into the match, Galapagos Islands FC's goal looked a bit too open when Holger Modig came free, but Arne Petersson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Hagfors's Victor Trillkott got a free kick in the 67th minute. Hagfors's Jan-Åke Johnsson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 69th minute of the match, managed to save Hagfors from getting a goal against them. Torbjörn Stålberg recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Torbjörn Stålberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Martin Björkkvist came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the Hagfors fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Martin Björkkvist couldn't finish the play. Jan-Åke Johnsson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Torbjörn Stålberg in the 84th minute. Torbjörn Stålbergs short, quick shot in the 88thth minute got Jan-Åke Johnsson to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 90th match minute, Hagfors was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Victor Trillkott to maneuver through the defense. Jan-Åke Johnsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Torbjörn Stålberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Vilgot Kihlberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Jan-Åke Johnsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Hagfors players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
