In the 16th match minute, Tallboda Gunners was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Henning Matsson to maneuver through the defense. 17 minutes into the match, Tallboda Gunners's goal looked a bit too open when Johnny Skoog came free, but Viggo Martinsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Tallboda Gunners getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. The referee ignored FC Bodil United's protests and gave Erling Alstedt a yellow card for diving instead. In the 32nd minute, Erling Alstedt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Viggo Martinsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lars-Erik Utfal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee felt a red card was in order, 36 minutes into the game, when Ove Sander put in a rough tackle. Viggo Martinsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ulf Lång in the 38th minute of the match. Tallboda Gunners's Erik Magnusson got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Johnny Skoog was the one to do the kick off. Egon Lövgren kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Lucas Beckeman's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Conny Gullesson was relentless in the 62nd minute of the game. FC Bodil United's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
