Joacim Ekblom started the match with the kick off. After 6 played minutes Arye Suryoye got a freekick which was hit by Håkan Bäck. After some careless play in the FC NILS defense, Kjell Ros kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rune Vacker. The FC NILS fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rune Vacker should have stopped the shot. Daniel Vesterberg could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 17th minute of the match, but Robert Ljungberg made a huge save. 24 minutes into the match, Arye Suryoye's goalkeeper Robert Ljungberg had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Vesterberg. In the 34th minute, FC NILS's Daniel Vesterberg ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Robert Ljungberg. Robert Ljungberg yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-1. The supporters of FC NILS booed when Arye Suryoye was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joacim Ekblom didn't get a good kick on the ball. Daniel Vesterberg could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 43rd minute of the match, but Robert Ljungberg made a huge save. Robert Ljungberg made a fantastic save in the 45th minute, when Daniel Vesterberg sent off a good shot on target. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Leif Ahlkvist was the one to do the kick off. After a rather tough play, Arye Suryoye's Alexander Dahlgren got a free kick in the 52nd minute. In the 55th match minute, Arye Suryoye was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ian Lundgren to maneuver through the defense. Kjell Ros received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Rune Vacker tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 67 minutes into the match, FC NILS's goal looked a bit too open when Ian Lundgren came free, but Rune Vacker reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Joacim Ekblom's late challenge caught a FC NILS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Joacim Ekblom helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Arye Suryoye getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Joacim Ekblom hit a great ball. FC NILS's Andreas Skoog was substituted for Daniel Vesterberg. In the 72nd match minute, Arye Suryoye was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joacim Ekblom to maneuver through the defense. In the 73rd minute, Andreas Skoog made a precise shot to the right of Robert Ljungberg. Arye Suryoye's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. If Kjell Ros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 86th match minute, FC NILS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leif Ahlkvist to maneuver through the defense. Kjell Ros sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Evert Ahlerot hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. Kjell Ros succeeded in the game's 98th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 3-3. Despite being the better team, Arye Suryoye failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
