If Ian Lundgren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 34 minutes into the game, Zebastian Wenerdahl recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Robert Ljungberg. Zebastian Wenerdahl showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Robert Ljungberg made an important save on a dangerous shot by Torsten Carlberg in the 37th minute. In the 37th minute, Herbert Hultman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Arye Suryoye getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Kjell Ros hit a great ball. In the 45th minute of the match, Torsten Carlberg tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Robert Ljungberg saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 46th minute, Alexander Dahlgren hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Robert Ljungberg was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 47th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Torsten Carlberg. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Kjell Ros to strike the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Torsten Carlberg in the 51st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Robert Ljungberg saved Arye Suryoye from getting behind. Kjell Ros could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 53rd minute of the match, but Adrian Dusett made a huge save. Ian Lundgren might have been able to make a better finish in the 60th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Adrian Dusett. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ian Lundgren ran back to his position shaking his head. Robert Ljungberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zebastian Wenerdahl, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Ian Lundgren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 68 minutes into the game, Kjell Ros was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Arye Suryoye's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Pihl United the free kick. Kjell Ros kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Arye Suryoye's zone, Billy Göransson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Robert Ljungberg came out of the goal and Billy Göransson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Robert Ljungberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gunnar Hansson in the 73rd minute of the match. In the 74th minute, Torsten Carlberg left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Pihl United fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Alexander Dahlgren hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. In the 81st minute Zebastian Wenerdahl shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Robert Ljungberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ian Lundgren during the 82nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Pihl United booed when Arye Suryoye was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ian Lundgren didn't get a good kick on the ball. Robert Ljungberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zebastian Wenerdahl in the 86th minute of play. In the 87th minute Torsten Carlberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Robert Ljungberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kjell Ros got free with Adrian Dusett in the 92nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, Arye Suryoye's Ian Lundgren got a free kick in the 92nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zebastian Wenerdahl in the 94th minute of play forced Arye Suryoye's goalkeeper Robert Ljungberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Robert Ljungberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Torsten Carlberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. Arye Suryoye's Robert Ljungberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gunnar Hansson in the 96th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Pihl United had won after a very even match.
