After a rather tough play, Sundborn IF's Pontus Ahlroht got a free kick in the 8th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Sundborn IF's zone, Dan Eliasson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rikard Lekberg came out of the goal and Dan Eliasson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Nicklas Lindgren kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. In the 16th minute Håkan Larsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bo Jernberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Samba Fotboll U21's zone, Håkan Larsson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bo Jernberg came out of the goal and Håkan Larsson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Sundborn IF's Rikard Lekberg proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 26th minute of the match, managed to save Sundborn IF from getting a goal against them. A collision led to Samba Fotboll U21 getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Nicklas Lindgren hit a great ball. Michel Uter's late challenge caught a Sundborn IF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Michel Uter helped the player get up and apologised. Michel Uter kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. Bo Jernberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Håkan Larsson in the 43rd minute of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Stefan Hellström stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Sundborn IF's Håkan Larsson got a free kick in the 50th minute. Johan Fristedt could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 59th minute of the match, but Bo Jernberg made a huge save. Morgan Flinck fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bo Jernberg having to interfere. Through an outstanding action, after 64 minutes, Bo Jernberg successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 67 minutes into the match, Johan Fristedt notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Samba Fotboll U21's Bo Jernberg. Bo Jernberg was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 75 minutes into the match, Sundborn IF's goal looked a bit too open when Per Kock came free, but Rikard Lekberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 76th match minute, Sundborn IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Håkan Larsson to maneuver through the defense. Uno Åberg took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 77th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Rikard Lekberg. Sundborn IF's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Bo Jernberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Johan Fristedt, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. Samba Fotboll U21's Gösta Sjö got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Sundborn IF booed when Samba Fotboll U21 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nicklas Lindgren didn't get a good kick on the ball. 85 minutes into the game, Sundborn IF's Johan Fristedt nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Bo Jernberg made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. If Stefan Hellström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Michel Uter got his second yellow card in the match during the 89th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. In the 90th match minute, Samba Fotboll U21 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Michel Uter to maneuver through the defense. Sundborn IF's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
