After a rather tough play, Runa United's Ingvar Alefors got a free kick in the 5th minute. Carl Samuelsson came out of the goal in the 12th minute to try and stop a shot by Runa United's Ingvar Alefors. But to his dismay, Ingvar Alefors quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Runa United's Rolf Lindgren proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 16th minute of the match, managed to save Runa United from getting a goal against them. A collision led to Runa United getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Lars Lindsten hit a great ball. Einar Heggert, 20 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Robert Strömbom kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. After 22 played minutes, Mountainhammer United's Einar Heggert shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Rolf Lindgren came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Mountainhammer United reached it. 23 minutes into the game, Adrian Låsberg was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Runa United's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mountainhammer United the free kick. When Adrian Låsberg was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 24 minutes had been played. Adrian Låsberg hit a great ball. 28 minutes into the match, Runa United's goal looked a bit too open when Uno Gadd came free, but Rolf Lindgren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 29 minutes into the match, Ingvar Alefors notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Mountainhammer United's Carl Samuelsson. Carl Samuelsson was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Leif Hedberg during the 34th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. With an all-out effort, Mountainhammer United's Rolf Lindgren threw himself towards the right post 40 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Uno Gadd, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Ingvar Alefors charged in rather forcefully in the 44th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ingvar Alefors the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Ingvar Alefors hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. In the 45th minute of the match, Uno Gadd tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Rolf Lindgren saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 47 minutes into the game, Mountainhammer United's Kristoffer Kråk nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rolf Lindgren made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. After the first half Runa United were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Uno Gadd made the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd match minute, Mountainhammer United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kristoffer Kråk to maneuver through the defense. After 55 played minutes Runa United got a freekick which was hit by Leif Hedberg. Rolf Lindgren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kristoffer Kråk in the 66th minute of the match. In the 69th minute, Uno Gadd ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rolf Lindgren was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. In the 72nd minute Kristoffer Kråk shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rolf Lindgren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 74 minutes into the match, Uno Gadd had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rolf Lindgren. Runa United's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Uno Gadd was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-2. 80 minutes into the match, Kristoffer Kråk notched a goal, 4-2, to the right of Runa United's Rolf Lindgren. Rolf Lindgren was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Rolf Lindgren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kristoffer Kråk in the 86th minute of the match. Rolf Lindgren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kristoffer Kråk, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. The supporters of Mountainhammer United booed when Runa United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nils Lindkvist didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jan-Erik Bållström took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 96th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Rolf Lindgren. Runa United's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. There was no doubt that Mountainhammer United were the better team. Mountainhammer United's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
