Rune Walroth made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Patrick Koch's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 6thth minute, Rune Walroth skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 9th match minute, Wolverhampton was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Henrik Valler to maneuver through the defense. Johan Uter received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Malcolm Knutsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Carl Bengtsson struck a weak shot in the 13th minute. Rune Walroth didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Wolverhampton. If Patrick Koch had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Carl Bengtsson received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Rune Walroth came out and tried to block the shot, but Carl Bengtsson slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 17th minute. If Johan Alkvist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 26th minute of the match, Patrick Koch got a very nice opportunity to score, but Rune Walroth was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Algot Lennartsson hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. 34 minutes into the match, Wolverhampton's goal looked a bit too open when Elof Josefsson came free, but Malcolm Knutsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Carl Bengtsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Rune Walroth tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Malcolm Knutsson didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Johan Uter went, in the 45th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ola Lundqvist made a kick off. Algot Lennartsson kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. Rune Walroth made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Patrick Koch in the 57th minute of play. Jan Bengtsson lost his temper 63 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. Malcolm Knutsson made a fantastic save in the 65th minute, when Johan Uter sent off a good shot on target. Patrick Koch fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rune Walroth having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 69th minute, Patrick Koch managed to get in a good position for a shot. Wolverhampton's supporters rose to their feet, but Patrick Koch was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rune Walroth breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Rune Walroth made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Patrick Koch in the 73rd minute of play. When Christoffer Gudmundsson fell near the penalty area in the 75th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Koffe Boys's protests and gave Christoffer Gudmundsson a yellow card for diving instead. In the 75th minute, one of Koffe Boys:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Koffe Boys. After a rather tough play, Wolverhampton's Tomas Johnsson got a free kick in the 79th minute. Rune Walroth took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Patrick Koch, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 88 minutes, Patrick Koch managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Wolverhampton's supporters crossed their fingers, but Patrick Koch was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ola Lundqvist kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. In the 92nd minute Wolverhampton were awarded a corner. Henrik Valler went to the cornerflag to take it. Malcolm Knutsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ola Lundqvist in the 96th minute of play. Wolverhampton walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
