Sven-Edvin Askestät's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Charles Fernström read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 3rd minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Björn Hellström in the 7th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Charles Fernström prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 10 minutes into the match, BV Borussia Hammarby's goal looked a bit too open when Nicklas Flinck came free, but Charles Fernström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 13 played minutes BV Borussia Hammarby got a freekick which was hit by Hans Kjellbom. Sven-Edvin Askestät recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 13th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Sven-Edvin Askestät hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. 17 minutes into the match, Philip Bremming had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Mattias Asserlind. Kingpins's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Philip Bremming was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Allan Alegren in the 20th minute of play forced Kingpins's goalkeeper Mattias Asserlind to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Allan Alegren's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mattias Asserlind was relentless in the 20th minute of the game. The BV Borussia Hammarby fans' excitement grew in the 20th match minute when BV Borussia Hammarby's Allan Alegren looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. If Casper Lindqvist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kingpins's Mattias Asserlind played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Allan Alegren in the 29th minute of play. A collision led to Kingpins getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Magnus Brask hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Björn Hellström in the 42nd minute of play forced BV Borussia Hammarby's goalkeeper Charles Fernström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 43 minutes into the match, Kingpins's goal looked a bit too open when Hans Kjellbom came free, but Mattias Asserlind reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Björn Hellström in the 46th minute of play forced BV Borussia Hammarby's goalkeeper Charles Fernström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hans Kjellbom's late challenge caught a Kingpins's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hans Kjellbom helped the player get up and apologised. Hans Kjellbom hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. The long shot by Casper Lindqvist in the 47th minute really tested Charles Fernström's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

In the 53rd minute Philip Bremming shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mattias Asserlind saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 56 minutes, Kurt Ennegren mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the BV Borussia Hammarby and the Kingpins players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 56th match minute, BV Borussia Hammarby was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kurt Ennegren to maneuver through the defense. Björn Hellström received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Charles Fernström tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. BV Borussia Hammarby's Charles Fernström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nicklas Flinck in the 62nd minute of play. The supporters of Kingpins booed when BV Borussia Hammarby was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hans Kjellbom didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sven-Edvin Askestät took the ball and in the 87 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Charles Fernström. Charles Fernström dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-2. 93 minutes into the match, Kingpins's Björn Hellström sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Charles Fernström narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Charles Fernström came out of the goal in the 94th minute to try and stop a shot by Kingpins's Sven-Edvin Askestät. But to his dismay, Sven-Edvin Askestät quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-2. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Kingpins fans cheered their team off the field, for while BV Borussia Hammarby had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
