Spectators: 167 (Terracing: 126, Seating: 38, VIP seats: 3) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Ingemar Eckegren got the match started through his kick off. When the match had gone on for 4 minutes, Inge Tunberg took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Bengt Holmberg to make any attempt to save it. Bengt Holmberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Inge Tunberg in the 9th minute of the match. 12 minutes into the match, Polar Ice Caps's goal looked a bit too open when Calle Beck came free, but Bengt Holmberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 15 minutes, Alf Lindmark managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Surahammar's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alf Lindmark was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Polar Ice Caps's Markus Lundström got a free kick in the 16th minute. Alf Lindmark could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 17th minute of the match, but Bengt Holmberg made a huge save. In the 19th minute, Surahammar's Per Rudberg dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nicklas Hjortberg in the 25th minute of play forced Polar Ice Caps's goalkeeper Bengt Holmberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Surahammar's Calle Beck got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Bengt Holmberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Per Rudberg in the 29th minute of play. When Markus Lundström fell near the penalty area in the 30th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Polar Ice Caps's protests and gave Markus Lundström a yellow card for diving instead. In a very dangerous position, a player in Polar Ice Caps fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 30th minute. Penalty! Markus Bergsten shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. Bengt Holmberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nicklas Hjortberg in the 35th minute of play. If Alf Lindmark had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jon Stenquist made in the 41st minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Polar Ice Caps's Ulf Hellkvist. Polar Ice Caps's Markus Lundström got his second yellow card of the match in the 42nd minute. The referee ordered Markus Lundström off the ground. Markus Lundström hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. In the 45th minute, Jack Bocklund hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 46th minute of the match Markus Bergsten shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Bengt Holmberg showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Alf Lindmark made the kick off in the second half. Nicklas Hjortberg scored 3-0 in the 53rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Bengt Holmberg, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Markus Bergsten received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Bengt Holmberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 58th minute Nicklas Hjortberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bengt Holmberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 63 minutes into the match, Polar Ice Caps's goal looked a bit too open when Nicklas Hjortberg came free, but Bengt Holmberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 70th minute Alf Lindmark shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bengt Holmberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Polar Ice Caps's Bengt Holmberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nicklas Hjortberg in the 77th minute of play. When Surahammar's Alf Lindmark in the 78th minute got a chance for a shot 78th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Polar Ice Caps's goalie prevented a goal. Nicklas Hjortberg scored 5-1 in the 80th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Bengt Holmberg, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Bengt Holmberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Per Rudberg in the 84th minute of the match. Polar Ice Caps's Bengt Holmberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nicklas Hjortberg in the 89th minute of play. Bengt Holmberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alf Lindmark in the 94th minute of play. There was no doubt that Surahammar were the better team. Surahammar's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
