The referee ignored HEJA ESLÖV's protests and gave Stig-Arne Rudkvist a yellow card for diving instead. In the 3rd minute, Stig-Arne Rudkvist hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 4th minute, Johannes Örtendahl got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Villiam Holmberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Johannes Örtendahl in the 5th minute of the match. Sebastian Wästerberg kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. Villiam Holmberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Johannes Örtendahl in the 10th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Billy Engström in the 16th minute of play forced Degerfors IF's goalkeeper Pontus Lindström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sven Nordin kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. Villiam Holmberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kenny Forsberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Villiam Holmberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dan Grönberg in the 21st minute of play. Kenny Forsberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Villiam Holmberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 32nd match minute, HEJA ESLÖV was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fred Vidman to maneuver through the defense. Villiam Holmberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Johannes Örtendahl in the 33rd minute of the match. Stig-Arne Rudkvist hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. Villiam Holmberg didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Johannes Örtendahl went, in the 40th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. 44 minutes into the game, Johannes Örtendahl cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Villiam Holmberg was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Kenny Forsberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Villiam Holmberg having to interfere. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

58 minutes into the match, Fred Vidman had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Pontus Lindström. Degerfors IF's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Fred Vidman was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. Villiam Holmberg was out of position in the 61 minute of play, and Kenny Forsberg capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Kenny Forsberg really showed his touch with that goal: 1-4. Villiam Holmberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Johannes Örtendahl in the 69th minute of play. HEJA ESLÖV's Villiam Holmberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jakob Markusson in the 70th minute of play. Kenny Forsberg could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 71st minute of the match, but Villiam Holmberg made a huge save. Villiam Holmberg was a little too slow when Johannes Örtendahl got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 72nd minute. The score was now 1-6. Jakob Markusson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Villiam Holmberg having to interfere. Villiam Holmberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Johannes Örtendahl, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 89th minute, Kenny Forsberg left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Degerfors IF fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-7. Villiam Holmberg was out of position in the 93 minute of play, and Walter Ödman capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Walter Ödman really showed his touch with that goal: 1-8. Degerfors IF's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
