After 13 minutes of play, Degerfors IF's Johannes Örtendahl made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Vilgot Tolsson was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 16th minute, Johan Johnsson left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Degerfors IF fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. After having played for 18 minutes, Claes Stenman managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Degerfors IF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Claes Stenman was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 21 minutes into the match, AC Björkmo's goal looked a bit too open when Johannes Örtendahl came free, but Vilgot Tolsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Degerfors IF's zone, Andy Västerberg stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pontus Lindström came out of the goal and Andy Västerberg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Johan Johnsson got free with Vilgot Tolsson in the 54th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Vilgot Tolsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Johannes Örtendahl, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Degerfors IF's Pontus Lindström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Yngve Thidén in the 63rd minute of play. The supporters of AC Björkmo booed when Degerfors IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jakob Markusson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Johan Johnsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Claes Stenman charged in rather forcefully in the 80th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Claes Stenman the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Claes Stenman kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. Andy Västerberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Pontus Lindström tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
