The audience was convinced that Kristian Bruhn's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Josef Hafström was relentless in the 18th minute of the game. If Gottfrid Gernberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bernt Holmberg blasted a shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Aaron Sjöberg having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bernt Holmberg in the 28th minute of play forced Nytäppet Fc's goalkeeper Aaron Sjöberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Aaron Sjöberg came out of the goal in the 29th minute to try and stop a shot by Melchester Rovers's Joacim Bäcklin. But to his dismay, Joacim Bäcklin quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. In the 31st minute, Joacim Bäcklin left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Melchester Rovers fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Josef Hafström showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kalle Barck, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. Kristian Bruhn fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Josef Hafström having to interfere. 41 minutes into the match, Agne Engman had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Josef Hafström. Melchester Rovers's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Agne Engman was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Melchester Rovers's Josef Hafström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Agne Engman in the 44th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Bernt Holmberg managed to get in a good position for a shot. Melchester Rovers's supporters rose to their feet, but Bernt Holmberg was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Aaron Sjöberg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Joacim Bäcklin was the one to do the kick off. Bernt Holmberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Josef Hafström made an important save on a dangerous shot by Kristian Bruhn in the 58th minute. In the 62nd minute Joacim Bäcklin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aaron Sjöberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Henrik Hedin kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. In the 63rd match minute, Nytäppet Fc was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Henrik Hedin to maneuver through the defense. When Bernt Holmberg came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the Melchester Rovers fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bernt Holmberg couldn't finish the play. Kennet Anundsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 70 minutes into the match, Nytäppet Fc's goal looked a bit too open when Joacim Bäcklin came free, but Aaron Sjöberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bernt Holmberg in the 71st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Aaron Sjöberg prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Kristian Bruhn hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bernt Holmberg in the 75th minute of play forced Nytäppet Fc's goalkeeper Aaron Sjöberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kristian Bruhn might have been able to make a better finish in the 79th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Josef Hafström. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Kristian Bruhn ran back to his position shaking his head. Josef Hafström took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emanuel Brandin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Nytäppet Fc's Henrik Hedin got a free kick in the 88th minute. Walter Nyman kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. 95 minutes into the match, Melchester Rovers's goalkeeper Josef Hafström had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Kristian Bruhn. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Melchester Rovers had won after a very even match.
