Sture Gerdberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jan-Olof Sundström in the 19th minute of the match. In the 40th minute Markus Holmgren shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sture Gerdberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ralf Skröder fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sture Gerdberg having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jan-Olof Sundström in the 47th minute of play forced Glemmingebro IF's goalkeeper Sture Gerdberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Markus Holmgren stepped up to make the kick off in the second half.
