The throw-in from Claes Västerberg in the 33rd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Östavall's Sverker Fagerberg. Johnny Molin stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ragnar Blom's shot from short distance in the 40th minute. The audience was convinced that Ragnar Blom's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Johnny Molin was relentless in the 45th minute of the game. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ragnar Blom made a kick off. In the 52nd minute, Folke Flinck made a precise shot to the right of Johnny Molin. Östavall's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Johnny Molin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ragnar Blom in the 58th minute of the match. Johnny Molin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emil Fanström in the 59th minute of play. If Ragnar Blom had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. Östavall's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ragnar Blom was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. Stoke FF walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
