When Ola Bergvall came up free with the goalie in the 14th minute, the Avantgarde fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ola Bergvall couldn't finish the play. Avantgarde's Hjalmar Bollström got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 21stth minute of the game Göran Martinsson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Avantgarde's Georg Fernström was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Bergandy's Per-Erik Albom got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 24th match minute, Avantgarde was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alex Helström to maneuver through the defense. If Stig-Arne Tillman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mats Snell in the 37th minute of play forced Avantgarde's goalkeeper Georg Fernström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ola Bergvall to make the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Per-Erik Albom got free with Georg Fernström in the 68th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Stig-Arne Tillman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 74 played minutes, Avantgarde's Edvin Andberg shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Lennart Åkesson came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Avantgarde reached it. Lennart Åkesson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hjalmar Bollström, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 79 minutes in the game, Ola Bergvall dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. Georg Fernström didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Bergandy's Per-Erik Albom shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 0-2 in the ordered_time% minute. 91 minutes into the match, Erland Malm notched a goal, 0-4, to the right of Avantgarde's Georg Fernström. Georg Fernström was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.
