Ronny Åhman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Georg Fernström made a fantastic save in the 9th minute, when Karl-Åke Jakobsson sent off a good shot on target. Karl-Åke Jakobsson hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. Alex Österlund sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 16 played minutes Finninge Fotboll got a freekick which was hit by John Larsson. Magne Axelsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alex Österlund in the 18th minute of play. John Larsson blasted a shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Georg Fernström having to make a save. After 25 minutes, Karl Colin mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Avantgarde and the Finninge Fotboll players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 25 played minutes Avantgarde got a freekick which was hit by Karl Colin. After a defensive mix-up in Finninge Fotboll's zone, Ola Bergvall stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Magne Axelsson came out of the goal and Ola Bergvall tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 37 minutes into the match, Karl-Åke Jakobsson had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Georg Fernström. Avantgarde's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Karl-Åke Jakobsson was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. After having played for 43 minutes, John Larsson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Finninge Fotboll's supporters crossed their fingers, but John Larsson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 46th match minute, Avantgarde was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Karl Colin to maneuver through the defense. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Avantgarde were awarded a corner in the 53th minute after Finninge Fotboll's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Karl Colin took the corner. With a little luck, Finninge Fotboll's Magne Axelsson got control of the ball when Ronny Åhman tried to sneak it across the goal line. Albin Biörk's late challenge caught a Avantgarde's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Albin Biörk helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Finninge Fotboll's Albin Biörk got a free kick in the 61st minute. After some careless play in the Avantgarde defense, Karl-Åke Jakobsson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Georg Fernström. The Avantgarde fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Georg Fernström should have stopped the shot. In the 66th minute, Albin Biörk hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Mikael Askberg fell near the penalty area in the 74th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Finninge Fotboll's protests and gave Mikael Askberg a yellow card for diving instead. Ronny Åhman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Karl-Åke Jakobsson took the ball and in the 93 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Georg Fernström. Georg Fernström dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0.
