Per-Erik Wennersten scored 0-1 in the 4th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jörgen Paulin, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a rather tough play, Väderstad FK's Linus Erserman got a free kick in the 8th minute. The supporters of Väderstad FK booed when BK Falcon was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sven-Edvin Östman didn't get a good kick on the ball. BK Falcon's Fabian Holmgren proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 11th minute of the match, managed to save BK Falcon from getting a goal against them. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 15th minute of the game. One of Väderstad FK:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of BK Falcon:s goal. If Eddie Torsberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vidar Wallmark in the 24th minute of play forced Väderstad FK's goalkeeper Jörgen Paulin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 25th minute Christian Björkkvist shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jörgen Paulin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Christian Björkkvist received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Jörgen Paulin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 32nd match minute, Väderstad FK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kjell Sundling to maneuver through the defense. After 35 played minutes BK Falcon got a freekick which was hit by Jörn Arenberg. After the first half BK Falcon were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Eddie Torsberg was the one to do the kick off. In the 59th minute of the match, Vidar Wallmark tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Jörgen Paulin saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Fabian Holmgren took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bertil Rosendal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Christian Björkkvist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Väderstad FK's Gunnar Emander got a free kick in the 64th minute. 70 minutes into the match, BK Falcon's goal looked a bit too open when Eddie Torsberg came free, but Fabian Holmgren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Väderstad FK's Jesper Unesson got a free kick in the 73rd minute. Fabian Holmgren took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mark Larsfelt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Vidar Wallmark's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jörgen Paulin read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 79th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Väderstad FK's zone, Vidar Wallmark stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jörgen Paulin came out of the goal and Vidar Wallmark tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Fabian Holmgren came out of the goal in the 95th minute to try and stop a shot by Väderstad FK's Eddie Torsberg. But to his dismay, Eddie Torsberg quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2.
