Sven-Åke Thidén's late challenge caught a Sundens BK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sven-Åke Thidén helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Nusnäs IF's Sven-Åke Thidén got a free kick in the 8th minute. In the 11th minute of the match Sundens BK got a corner. Nusnäs IF's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Börje Askestät ran over to the corner to take the kick. Sven-Olof Jernberg made a great header on Sundens BK's corner, it was just that Nusnäs IF's Viktor Wallin managed to reach the ball for a save. When Börje Askestät came up free with the goalie in the 15th minute, the Sundens BK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Börje Askestät couldn't finish the play. After 17 played minutes Sundens BK got a freekick which was hit by Sven-Olof Jernberg. Sundens BK's attentive Olof Håkansson managed to snatch the ball when Johan Gustavsson made a throw-in in the 20th minute of the game. When the match clock showed 20 minutes, the score became 0-1 when George Ström sped through Nusnäs IF's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Viktor Wallin. The supporters of Nusnäs IF booed when Sundens BK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Olov Alebäck didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mats Ekgren blasted a shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Axel Martinsson having to make a save. After 35 played minutes Sundens BK got a freekick which was hit by Olof Håkansson. George Ström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 43rd minute, Börje Askestät hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, Sundens BK's Axel Martinsson got control of the ball when Michael Lägdin tried to sneak it across the goal line. Axel Martinsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Johan Gustavsson in the 46th minute of the match. Alvar Söderman struck a weak shot in the 48th minute. Viktor Wallin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sundens BK. After the first half Sundens BK were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Viktor Wallin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from George Ström in the 57th minute of play. Sundens BK made a substitution. Tommy Asserlindh replaced George Ström. Sundens BK's Conny Mårtensson was substituted for Sven-Olof Jernberg. 64 minutes into the match, Sundens BK's Tommy Asserlindh sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Viktor Wallin narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 69th minute, Conny Mårtensson left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sundens BK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. In the 71st match minute, Nusnäs IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carl Odén to maneuver through the defense. Nusnäs IF's defense didn't have a chance, in the 73rd minute, when Conny Mårtensson scored to the left of an out of position Viktor Wallin, making the score, 0-3. Tommy Asserlindh received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Viktor Wallin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Conny Mårtensson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 82nd minute of the match, but Viktor Wallin made a huge save. 88 minutes into the match, Nusnäs IF's goal looked a bit too open when Conny Mårtensson came free, but Viktor Wallin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nusnäs IF's Viktor Wallin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tommy Asserlindh in the 94th minute of play. In the 96th minute of the match Sundens BK got a corner. Nusnäs IF's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Börje Askestät ran over to the corner to take the kick. The Nusnäs IF supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Sundens BK's performance. The match ended with a win for Sundens BK.
