An unexpectedly hard shot by Andreas Wennerström in the 20th minute of play forced Segmon IF's goalkeeper Thomas Ravelli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bispmotala BK were awarded a corner in the 21th minute after Segmon IF's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Stig-Åke Lundkvist took the corner. After 34 minutes, Andreas Wennerström mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Bispmotala BK and the Segmon IF players grew even worse after the yellow card. Andreas Wennerström kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Segmon IF's Henry Lilja got a free kick in the 37th minute. After having played for 37 minutes, Stig-Åke Lundkvist managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bispmotala BK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Stig-Åke Lundkvist was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 40 minutes into the match, Segmon IF's goal looked a bit too open when Axel Utter came free, but Thomas Ravelli reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 41 played minutes Bispmotala BK got a freekick which was hit by Mark Olsmann. Bispmotala BK's Christer Wallgren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Charlie Lind in the 44th minute of play. Hans Gråberg hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Segmon IF's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Rune Brandt 74 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-1. Christer Wallgren took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Charlie Lind, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Bispmotala BK getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Kent Lindmark hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that Rune Brandt's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Thomas Ravelli was relentless in the 90th minute of the game. Thomas Ravelli stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rune Brandt's shot from short distance in the 92nd minute. Christer Wallgren took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fredrik Örtlund, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Rune Brandt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Bispmotala BK players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
