He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Stockholm IF reached it. Jimmie Ek showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Andreas Stålberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. Firma Barnängen's Jimmie Ek played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Andreas Stålberg in the 20th minute of play. Mårten Bremming's late challenge caught a Firma Barnängen's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mårten Bremming helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Stockholm IF getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Mårten Bremming hit a great ball. When the match had gone on for 23 minutes, Jerry Bengtsson took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Kjell-Arne Palmquist to make any attempt to save it. 31 minutes into the game, Firma Barnängen's Jerry Bengtsson nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Kjell-Arne Palmquist made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. After a defensive mix-up in Stockholm IF's zone, Gustaf Brummer stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kjell-Arne Palmquist came out of the goal and Gustaf Brummer tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ola Hansson during the 38th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 38 played minutes Firma Barnängen got a freekick which was hit by Ola Hansson. In the 42nd minute Rasmus Moberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kjell-Arne Palmquist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ola Hansson was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jerry Bengtsson in the 53rd minute of play forced Stockholm IF's goalkeeper Kjell-Arne Palmquist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 55th minute of the match Sebastian Aspengren sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jimmie Ek skillfully saved the ball. In the 56th minute Andreas Stålberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jimmie Ek saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sebastian Aspengren was slow to take the kick. During this time Stockholm IF's players had a chance to rest.
