The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Börje Brummer didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ove Wennerström went, in the 5th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. The supporters of Bajenland booed when Timmernabben FF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Åke Gustafsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Konrad Bengtsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lars Jeppesen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tage Dahlgren having to interfere. Johannes Johansson hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Timmernabben FF's Krister Ekeberg got a free kick in the 21st minute. Tage Dahlgren made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Åke Gustafsson in the 24th minute of play. In the 25th match minute, Bajenland was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ivar Bakircioglü to maneuver through the defense. Lars Jeppesen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The Timmernabben FF fans' excitement grew in the 27th match minute when Timmernabben FF's Krister Ekeberg looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Timmernabben FF's Krister Ekeberg got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Lars Jeppesen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 37th match minute, Timmernabben FF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stig Täman to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Lars Jeppesen managed to get in a good position for a shot. Timmernabben FF's supporters rose to their feet, but Lars Jeppesen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tage Dahlgren breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 44 minutes into the game, Ove Wennerström recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Börje Brummer. Ove Wennerström showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-1. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

After having played for 52 minutes, Konrad Bengtsson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bajenland's supporters crossed their fingers, but Konrad Bengtsson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Konrad Bengtsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Börje Brummer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 57th minute, Konrad Bengtsson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Bajenland getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Kaj Eskelinen hit a great ball. In the 65th minute, Johannes Johansson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Konrad Bengtsson in the 71st minute of play forced Timmernabben FF's goalkeeper Börje Brummer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match had gone on for 74 minutes, Johannes Johansson put it in 2-2 from a short distance just to the right of Tage Dahlgren. Tage Dahlgren took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Krister Ekeberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 78th minute, Måns Bakircioglü hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Krister Ekeberg in the 81st minute of play forced Bajenland's goalkeeper Tage Dahlgren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With an all-out effort, Timmernabben FF's Tage Dahlgren threw himself towards the right post 84 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Åke Gustafsson, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Tage Dahlgren was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Krister Ekeberg showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-3 in the 87 minute of play. A hard shot 89 in the game by Lars Jeppesen from a close distance when the talented Tage Dahlgren managed to make a qualified save. Bajenland's players were relieved. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
