An unexpectedly hard shot by Ola Hansson in the 2nd minute of play forced Stockholm IF's goalkeeper Kjell-Arne Palmquist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 3rd match minute, Stockholm IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eric Eriksson to maneuver through the defense. Firma Barnängen's Lucas Elg got a good chance for a goal in the 5th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 8 minutes into the match, Firma Barnängen's goal looked a bit too open when Andreas Stålberg came free, but Jimmie Ek reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 10th minute, Andreas Stålberg reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Jimmie Ek. The goal made the score 1-0. In the 12th match minute, Firma Barnängen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jerry Bengtsson to maneuver through the defense. Jimmie Ek showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Andreas Stålberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. Jimmie Ek made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Folke Alebom in the 19th minute of play. Eric Eriksson hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. Stockholm IF's Kjell-Arne Palmquist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rasmus Moberg in the 25th minute of play. In the 30th minute, Lucas Elg ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Kjell-Arne Palmquist was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Jerry Bengtsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Kjell-Arne Palmquist tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the Stockholm IF defense, Ola Hansson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Kjell-Arne Palmquist. The Stockholm IF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Kjell-Arne Palmquist should have stopped the shot. Jimmie Ek showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Andreas Stålberg in the 44th minute of the match. Alf Knutsson kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. The long shot by Bertil Forsberg in the 46th minute really tested Jimmie Ek's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. After the first half Firma Barnängen were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Andreas Stålberg to strike the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Karl Dahlquist notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of Firma Barnängen's Jimmie Ek. Jimmie Ek was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. A collision led to Firma Barnängen getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Rasmus Moberg hit a great ball. After some careless play in the Firma Barnängen defense, Andreas Stålberg kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jimmie Ek. The Firma Barnängen fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jimmie Ek should have stopped the shot. In the 62nd minute, Bernt Mårtensson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Karl Dahlquist sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 69th minute Folke Alebom shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jimmie Ek saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kjell-Arne Palmquist made a fantastic save in the 79th minute, when Lucas Elg sent off a good shot on target. Ola Hansson took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 81st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Kjell-Arne Palmquist. Stockholm IF's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 85 minutes into the match, Firma Barnängen's goal looked a bit too open when Karl Dahlquist came free, but Jimmie Ek reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Stockholm IF's Kjell-Arne Palmquist proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 90th minute of the match, managed to save Stockholm IF from getting a goal against them. For all the effort they put into the match, the Firma Barnängen players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Stockholm IF.
