When the match had gone on for 18 minutes, Edvin Lindström put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Börje Brummer. Lars Jeppesen in the 27thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Karl-Axel Malmgren, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Karl-Axel Malmgren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rune Blom, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. The Timmernabben FF players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Mellbystrand IK were winning 0-3.

David Groth got his second yellow card in the match during the 60th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. In the 61st match minute, Timmernabben FF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by David Groth to maneuver through the defense. Börje Brummer made an important save on a dangerous shot by Anthon Gernberg in the 63rd minute. Timmernabben FF's Börje Brummer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anthon Gernberg in the 79th minute of play. In the 83rd minute, Lars Jeppesen ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Karl-Axel Malmgren was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-4. Billy Hedin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Börje Brummer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Anthon Gernberg kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Börje Brummer. That made the score 1-5 in the 93 minute of play. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Mellbystrand IK eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
