The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 6 minutes into the match, Atletico Patoruzu's goal looked a bit too open when Bobby Fisher came free, but Trey Randle reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Darin Marks was out of position in the 10 minute of play, and Roosevelt Sullivan capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Roosevelt Sullivan really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Marcos Sewell sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Cedric Coulter came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the Atletico Patoruzu fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cedric Coulter couldn't finish the play. When the match had gone on for 21 minutes, Roosevelt Sullivan put it in 2-0 from a short distance just to the right of Darin Marks. In the 24th minute, Landon Vogt got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Kerry Lancaster hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. Trey Randle showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcos Sewell, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Roosevelt Sullivan in the 31st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Darin Marks saved C. A. Pipon Pipon from getting behind. A collision led to Atletico Patoruzu getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Cedric Coulter hit a great ball. C. A. Pipon Pipon's Darin Marks played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roosevelt Sullivan in the 37th minute of play. Atletico Patoruzu's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Marcelo-Luis Master in the 39th minute. The corner ended in Marcelo-Luis Master almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but C. A. Pipon Pipon's Darin Marks did a great save. Kerry Lancaster hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. With a little luck, C. A. Pipon Pipon's Darin Marks got control of the ball when Roosevelt Sullivan tried to sneak it across the goal line. Roosevelt Sullivan's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 42ndth minute, Darin Marks skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 43rd match minute, C. A. Pipon Pipon was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kerry Lancaster to maneuver through the defense. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.
The wind increased when Roosevelt Sullivan made the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, Atletico Patoruzu's Trey Randle got control of the ball when Thaddeus Wiley tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 54th minute, Bobby Fisher fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Atletico Patoruzu's defense didn't have a chance, in the 55th minute, when Marcos Sewell scored to the left of an out of position Trey Randle, making the score, 2-1. In the 59th minute Marcos Sewell shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Trey Randle saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Atletico Patoruzu's Ivan Lucero got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Bobby Fisher struck a weak shot in the 62nd minute. Trey Randle didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for C. A. Pipon Pipon. Landon Vogt was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 63rd minute. C. A. Pipon Pipon's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. 76 minutes into the game, Atletico Patoruzu's Cedric Coulter nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Darin Marks made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. In the 87thth minute of the game Roosevelt Sullivan who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but C. A. Pipon Pipon's Darin Marks was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 88th match minute, Atletico Patoruzu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ian McLain to maneuver through the defense. Marcos Sewell received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Trey Randle tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 91 minutes into the match, Bobby Fisher had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Trey Randle. Atletico Patoruzu's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Bobby Fisher was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-2. 96 minutes into the game, Perry Snyder was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Atletico Patoruzu's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave C. A. Pipon Pipon the free kick. The supporters of C. A. Pipon Pipon booed when Atletico Patoruzu was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 97 match minutes in a wonderful position. Perry Snyder didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Bobby Fisher came up free with the goalie in the 98th minute, the C. A. Pipon Pipon fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bobby Fisher couldn't finish the play. Atletico Patoruzu's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
