Rusty Little showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Domingo Parsons, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. In the 26th minute, Davis Pringle hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Milton Heath in the 31st minute of play forced EL LOBO DE MIAMI's goalkeeper Winford Frey to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rusty Little made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Domingo Parsons in the 32nd minute of play. Winford Frey didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jamar Burton went, in the 33rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. With a little luck, Santos FC's Rusty Little got control of the ball when Basil Luke tried to sneak it across the goal line. Kelly Stovall hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Santos FC's Kelly Stovall got a free kick in the 47th minute. The EL LOBO DE MIAMI players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Santos FC were winning 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Pedro Finn to make the kick off. Rusty Little made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Geraldo Kirby in the 53rd minute of play. With 61 minutes on the clock, Kelly Stovall commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. The referee gave EL LOBO DE MIAMI a penalty, 65 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Basil Luke, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Santos FC's Rusty Little. 1-1. Jamar Burton kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. Rusty Little showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ezra Tuttle in the 70th minute of the match. In the 75th minute, Sheldon Gomez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Geraldo Kirby had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 83 minutes into the match, Santos FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ezra Tuttle came free, but Rusty Little reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Santos FC's Darryl Pollard got a free kick in the 90th minute. Domingo Parsons took the ball and in the 91 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rusty Little. Rusty Little dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1.
